Grand Central Station

After I was tired of photographing orange shower-curtains, I hung out in Grand Central Station for a bit.

This is a chandelier just inside the entry to Grand Central Station at 43rd Street. It's an olive tree, life-size, suspended by its roots above the gourmet food-market which they apparently put in after I last visited Grand Central.

For a better view, see here.

Grand Central underwent substantial renovations around 1998, and the entire place is still shiny and new looking. I was impressed.

If you get the chance, visit the oyster bar on the main level. The food was wonderful, and the stone work in the ceilings was quite pretty.
