I'm sorry to hear about that anonymous thread elsewhere; that is unfortunate. Some of my impediment to posting has felt a bit similar, though it wasn't precipitated by any particular comment. As a guy who has to work on sometimes not elevating the feelings of others over my own, I do need to keep reminding myself that in the end it's *my* journal; and I am just as entitled to have a voice of my own as they are.

Which isn't to say I don't want friends to call me on if I say something that's bullshit or insensitive; I definitely want to hear from y'all if I did. Thanks. :)

I feel like I'm writing from a position of fairly great privilege, and along with acknowledging that, I hope to keep talking about my gratitude for being in this position. Which sort of swings into some of the writing I hope to do that may require making a space for being comfortable about using God-language... Still not figured out where that is, whether it's here or elsewhere.
