Procrastinationation

If you have something that needs doing in the next 15 minutes, do not check this out:

http://www.nekogames.jp/mt/2008/01/cursor10.html - Cursor is a game where it will take a few times through to realize the big hook, which I think is quite clever. I haven't quite solved it, because I'm slow on the mouse.
[edit to add: solved with *three* cursors left, and 50 left on the timer. Whew!]

And if you do not want further procrastination, avoid this link as well:

http://screamingduck.com/doodle.html - Doodle... isn't your standard flash doodle game. Experiment!

I do wish Doodle had a "save your work" feature.

I made a bulgy sack and filled it with bubbles, and used green fronds to turn it into a Flying Spaghetti Monster. It bounced around for a while, then slowly slithered off the screen. It was sad to see it go free, but I know it was for the better.

OK, the cursor game is neat, but I haven't figured out how to get past the 15th level :/

Found it! :)

That is a really, really, really clever game. What a flash of insight to have come up with it.

Managed to solve the cursor game with my last man on the first try. Whew!

The casual gameplay competitions at http://www.jayisgames.com had a whole "Replay" competition on games that involved the player's previous actions affecting their future gameplay much like this.

The absolute best was "Gimme Friction Baby":

(also hosted at http://www.addictinggames.com/gimmefrictionbaby.html in a somewhat more direct way).

Seriously, this game will either bore you immediately or EAT YOUR MIND.

That's a great game.

Oh oh. :)

NOM NOM NOM NOM

I am... unsurprised.

(I think I pushed my high score to 51 once. I wasn't able to achieve even half that since.)

You'll be happy to know the game has eaten the mind of my IRC channel as well.

I knew I should have shared it earlier.

I (heart) being patient zero.

Yeah, I thought you would. ;)

My first time through, I had held all three buttons down and nothing showed up, which confused me :/

[identity profile] da-lj.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. It's evil like that.

I went back and solved it again, and I'm amused that you get /fewer/ points for picking up pyramids, versus 100 points for no pyramids. ;)

My high score is about 106, at lunch time I'm going to see if I can do it in the minimum amount of cursors, and then if I can get the high score :)

[identity profile] da-lj.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Wait, 106 means you got 106 pyramids?

My best, I think, was 100 points / 3 cursors remaining.

I'm not sure I need to get the high score. :)

I dunno. I clicked all the pyramids on the first 7 levels or so. :)
