TV Ad: Do the Test

'Cause I haven't seen this on my f'list yet, and it came up over lunch today with [livejournal.com profile] chezmax : Do The Test is a clever ad.

Ha! That's awesome! I went back and watched it again to make sure it wasn't a camera trick :)

Yep, me too :-)

Yet another psych experiment that demonstrates I'm the outlier the experimenter has to deal with.

It is good to see the implications used in an attempt to raise awareness with respect to the way I choose to risk my life on a daily basis (or something closely related, if you're a nit picker).

If you outlie far enough, you can see my house from there.

Yes, about the content. I would *love* to see this ad used on TV here.

Heh. I missed the bear, but I did manage, on the first viewing, to retain both the number of passes made by the white team *and* by the black team...

Ha ha. I guess *you* would. ;)

[livejournal.com profile] dpolicar told me he got the number of passes made by the white team, and was also trying to count the passes from a white person to a black person, in case that was the trick. ;)

You know, I read about this trick in my Psych 101 class, and I *still* didn't even notice the bear, cause he was in black, so looked just like another one of the black players to me :)

I watched it before having my morning coffee, so I wasn't capable of counting, or noticing, ANYthing.

My first thought was that, maybe if more of the cyclists around here didn't wear what may as well be full body black bear suits at night(and perhaps a light or two?), that would help as well.
Good ad though.

Wow! That was great. (I had to start over, too, to make sure the bear had really been there the first time through.)

Dang: re-viewing it, I see the bear whether I'm concentrating on the white team OR the black team.

Must blog this!

Thanks!

Jeez... I mdidn't see the bear, and I thought they'd put the bear in afterwards - so I replayed it, and it was there the whole time. Spooky.
