Last night d. made nutmeg ice cream.

I suggested, after his post this evening about profiteroles, that the two would probably go well together.



No sooner did I leave to take a movie back to the video store, he has whipped up a batch. And yes, they went together quite nicely, with cocoa, chocolate sauce, and a bit of nutmeg on top.

I badly miss being in a situation where I can secretly make desserts for my SO when she slips out to the bank. I used to make rice pudding with raisins, though. Rice pudding is delicious, but entirely unsexy, especially next to profiterols.

But I did also use nutmeg. So there.
