I took a sudafed at 3:45. I hope it wears off by bedtime, because I'm feeling wired. It did help my sinus pressure, but boy does it mess with my brain. Yech.
Yep - I've got a cold and some annoying congestion too - Took a Sudafed too late last night.. did *not* sleep well at all. Took another in the morning when I got to work and I was definitely *not* sharp today.
My most recent was at around 5pm.. hoping it won't do the same tonight.
"Rain" here doesn't mean the same thing, I have found out:
When the air is so warm/humid, it is quite unsettled. So you can get downpours, but they are very brief, and very isolated. For example: I once had it happen, shortly after I moved here, that the rain was coming down as a solid sheet. I was stopped at a stop sign in a residential neighborhood. The sun was shining on the other side of the street. Freaky!
When they say "40% chance of showers" or something, that usually means that approximately 40% of people might experience some brief shower at some point. And then the sun comes back out. The rest of the people have dry/sunny conditions.
That's quite funny. And tough to plan for, I imagine. Remember your umbrella!..
It is true that Florida has the most amazing little biomes, which we saw in the Everglades. A few miles away, the plant/animal life was totally different. Guess this could be one of the contributing factors, if some areas are prone to more wind/less tropical conditions!
