I've decided to try growing my beard out again. The last time I had a beard, I also had long hair; so, '03 or '02. I'm not sure how I'll like having a beard and short hair. I'll give it a try for the next week, though, and see what happens.
So far, it seems to be coming in darker. The last time, it looked reddish. I liked that, but I don't particularly want to become as shaggy as I did in that photo- taken in December '01. So I may be in the market for an electric trimmer.
Updates forthcoming :)
I'm very much open to suggestions- for style of beard, whether I look better without one completely, best brand of trimmer/razor, etc.

I suppose I could dye my beard. ;)

The expression on the face of an itchy-bearded person getting scritched in a way that relieves the itch without harming the skin or hair is one of the best facial expressions known to man. Cultivate friends with short fingernails and a knowledge of the gentle art of beard scritching.

Date: Friday, 17 August 2007 11:47 pm (UTC)I agree wholeheartedly, at least about the relief of getting scritched- and now that my boyfriend has the requisite scritchability, I can try watching his expression. Once I've trimmed my fingernails properly. And, indeed, I will make sure I've got the friends who have that knowledge as well. Thanks for the suggestion- it's not one that would've immediately come to me. :)

Date: Friday, 24 August 2007 07:12 pm (UTC)I remember when you looked like that. I also remember when d. looked like a picture he posted recently (long hair). This is interesting, because, except when d. cut his hair, I don't remember the way either of you looks changing dramatically. Which says interesting things about how often I see either of you. (One of those things being, of course, Not enough!)
