da: (blue)
So, I wrote up a review of [livejournal.com profile] purplesofa's concert last night (which has also been reviewed by [livejournal.com profile] melted_snowball and [livejournal.com profile] lovecraftienne). Then I crashed mozilla. Lesson: don't edit long text in a web-browser. Which is a lesson you would think I'd have learned, by now, but I guess I hadn't. I redirect you to either of the above reviews, since I don't have the energy to rewrite. In summary, I'm glad we went, and they sang beautifully.

Next, I went to check on the grill pan which I'd been soaking in bleach, because there were grilled bits that just weren't coming off, even though it was nonstick. I say "was". The scrubber sponge took off the grilled bits, along with bits of the grill. Lesson: bleach and non-stick pans don't mix.

Hopefully, these are the last of today's lessons I'll be repeating for the nth time.

I'm fine with making mistakes; I get pissed off at myself when they're not new ones.

sorta better

da: A smiling human with short hair, head tilted a bit to the right. It's black and white with a neutral background. You can't tell if the white in the hair is due to lighting, or maybe it's white hair! (maze)
I spent a while weaving the chair I'm putting together and my sweetie made me crepes for desert. So I'm feeling sorta better about life, although today will hopefully rate as one of the dumber days I'll have in a while. Sometimes, it just makes sense to stay in bed.

Apropos of nothing at all, an idea I had in the shower the other morning.

Why don't trains, busses, and planes segregate people by sociability and noise level? The front should be people with babes-in-arms, the next section (falling where ever that naturally falls) should be those who want to meet new people and mostly chat. Those in the very back could be those who would prefer to spend most of their time reading a book thankyouverymuch. It might lead to trips being subjectively shorter for all people concerned. The bookworms would be able to really get into whatever they're reading without seeing Grandma's *&**# kid photos; and the extroverts toward the front would get to have real conversations too, instead of those awkward short conversations with the bookworms.

...Can you guess where I'd be sitting?
