Today is the day in which we overeat.
Sunday, 5 March 2006 01:12 amGreat day.
First, lunch with fish, kiirstin, and simon at Cameron's (...fish and I came up with a super idea to follow up on corporate web proxies to filter out porn; and that is, a filter that detects "Too Much Information" topics, so you can avoid peoples' personal weblogs that over-share. I hope his company writes this. I'd use it.)
And can I say that Cameron's dim sum is awesome? A bit pricey for a lunch, but as a special occasion, it's just super. They do an excellent job with steamed, fried; egg, meat, seafood, and veggie. I tried a few new dishes this time, but I think my favourite is still turnip cake.
Later in the afternoon, after a nap, I put on my Quaker Fairy Service hat and drove a visitor down to Cambridge, where we met up with a few other Friends and went out for Vietnamese food. That is to say, I sipped tea and chatted, because I wanted to save my appetite for...
Turducken!
halfwitted went totally overboard and made a whole turducken, side stuffings, yummy bruchetta with fresh basil, and cherry cheesecake, for
mtffm's birthday. It was all quite tasty, though a lot of the effect of the turducken could be achieved by cooking a boned duck or chicken by itself. Still, I can say I've had turducken now. Thx
halfwitted.
The crowd was young, but not as young as I originally thought- we did a poll, and approximately 5 of these folks were students, and the remaining 22 or so was not. Some folks who I knew from &
persephoneplace parties, and I got to meet some interesting new folks too. ...
mtffm is quite the juggler- five balls while sitting on the floor is a no mean feat.
Hm, I think I was gonna say more, but I'm too tired. Bed. Night!
