Well, I survived the day. I was up at 5 am, just about as awake as I could be. My guess is that my throat was dry, because I was coughing a bit before I really woke up. Winter: I always forget how much I hate dry air.
I wonder if folks on my friends-list are experienced with good models of home humidifiers? We have a $40 one which is too noisy to keep running during the night. So, we run it during the afternoon and keep the bedroom door closed until we go to bed. Which doesn't seem like a very useful solution, since the room is hardly air-tight, and I expect its main effect is placebo.
Anyway, before breakfast I did some coding (the first actual programming I've done in ages!) for a simple little photo display page for a volunteer project, and caught up on work email too.
Woo! Then I went back to bed for a bit.
Despite some fuzzy-headedness, the day wasn't a disaster. I led a group meeting, had a good discussion with my boss, and got a batch of smaller tasks figured out by the time I came home. Plus, the boss bought us timbits for the meeting. Go, boss.
I should be able to stay up long enough to pick dan up at work when he finishes proctoring his exam (30 minutes from now, or so).
Oh, and... who should I lobby for an 8th day of the week? I could really go for a free Smonday evening.
