Not as expected
Friday, 11 April 2008 10:30 pm...because I really didn't know what to expect, of course! What to say about Florence, quickly?
There are a few surprising similarities between Florence and London. The food's been spectacular, the city is weird to navigate and has tons of wonderful alleys and curvey roads, there's a river down the middle of things, and there is this spectacular sense of history... it makes me happy. Yesterday was all travel. Today was museums, exploring, and lunch with dan's parents. Tomorrow is almost entirely family (dan's cousin's Bat Mitzvah is in the morning, and there's a reception in Sienna for part of the afternoon.)
I'll write more later. I'm using 30 minutes of internet-cafe time because our hotel's wifi was out. It's 23:40h right now, and tomorrow's a full day.
