Empathy on the sleeplessness. The second night running, I curled up in an armchair with the headphones on the stereo and lots of good music, in the dark. It helped.
I think both you and melted will appreciate this particular bit of tackiness and music idiocy. Ms. Math made the mistake of asking me the other night, when we were both very sleepy and punchy but still up and about, if I would love her forever. Whereupon I started with "Let me sleep on it," and sang her the entire rest of the song.
(It's appalling how many versions of that there are on You Tube!)
