Mambo Taxi

I've actually been trying to figure out how far into the winter I am going to continue my bike commute. I found an article talking about bike snow and ice tire options, including studded tires and chains. Woot! Actually sounds a bit fun, in an insane way (and yes, I've taken a spill recently, onto pavement, with blood involved, so it's not like I've forgotten what it feels like). FYI, the recommend carbide studs rather than steel, because the latter get trashed when you switch between ice/snow and pavement. However, $50 a tire... youch!
