It's a white whale in the sky! Where's the petunia?

60 rooms, cruising speed of 280km/h, 3-day circumnavigation of the Earth.

I'm not holding my breath, but I do really want to see this.

I admit that my thinking is biased by the sheer awesomeness of zeppelins, but I think airships are poised to make a comeback as fuel prices and carbon emissions make regular airplane travel more and more expensive.

Let's see, I can take the half-day airplane flight from Denver to London, arriving tired and uncomfortable and losing the first day to recovering from travel.

Or I can take the day-and-a-half zeppelin flight for the same price as a plane flight and a night's hotel stay, sleep in a bed, travel in comfort, arrive well-fed and well-rested, and, oh by the way, it can carry enough infrastructure for me to plug in my laptop, connect to the wifi, and actually get work done while I'm traveling.

Yeah, I know which one I'd pick.

Yeah, I was wondering about that also, but- if they claim 3 days, I'll report three days. It's just design drawings at this stage anyhow.

Yeah, I know which one I'd pick.

Oh yeeeeah.

The sheer awesomeness of your goggles almost outweigh the potential awesomeness of a whale-shaped airship hotel.

Almost.

It's close enough to being exactly off by a factor of 2 that I think somebody must have made a math error...

Perhaps they're just circumnavigating the Arctic circle, which is about that long.

All the cool stuff is on the arctic circle anyway.

"According to the creator, this hotel-cruise-dirigible will allow the travelers to enjoy a non-stop round the world in 3 days, while staying in any of its 60 rooms."

I can stay in any room? My choice? Sweet.

I'll pick the cockpit room with the pilot's controls. Not comfy, but fun.
