bleurgh morning

daI do wish my brain hadn't decided that since I'm flying this evening, I must wake up as early as possible so I can finish prepping. This led to weird dreams, light sleep, and waking with the birdies at 5:30. Ah well.
My local bank branch has a nice little pile of Pounds Sterling waiting for me; I have scads of reading material for the airport (I got a good sci-fi book which I'm looking forward to, Kiln People by David Brin; plus some periodicals that have piled up over the last month).
I'm hoping our lodgings are up to snuff. One of the dreams I had were that we were crammed into a shoebox of a room with creaky beds. But the pictures on the website look good, it has good reviews, so I shouldn't be worrying.

melted_snowball won't be stuck in France due to the ongoing general strike. Boy, that would be a way to ruin a vacation.
Nothing left but the waiting.
Oh, and the work I'm doing today. Heh.
