Gimme! Coffee

(This is turning into a high-post day for me, but I have them seldom, so I guess that's OK).

Earlier I was googling for 'gimmel' so I could paste one in the browser. My fingers knew what I wanted more then I did, and I googled for 'gimme'. Top link? Gimme! Coffee, my favourite coffee shop in Ithaca.

Their blog has a photo of the most awesome barrista-art I've seen.

They've opened their 6th location, and that makes me happy.

(Should I register the domain name "gimmelcoffee.com"? Maybe make teeshirts that say 'ג !'

The funny thing is, since their clientele is ithaca and brooklyn, people would probably get it.)

2? 2 is high?

That is f-ing terrific. I wish we could get a Gimme! outpost. (Though, to be honest, I'd be more excited to have a Pan Chancho outpost, and they're even Canadian...)

2? 2 is high?

I was wondering who would say that. ;)

Two is higher than zero or one. It's high for me, but I guess I was commenting more than usual today, not posting per se.

Oh, and speaking of pan chancho, my parents expressed some interest in coming to Kingston for a day trip. Though, of course, even if they can theoretically take day trips, whether they ever will remains to be seen.

That sounds cool...

Do you have a favored flavor or blend from Gimme? I'm going to be doing a round trip to Boston (and possibly Oberlin and Chicago) by way of Ithaca from the end of May through mid-June--just let me know what I can pick up for you.

I'm tempted. ..hey, when are you in Chicago? I'm flying there June 23rd (through the 28th).

OK. If you think of it, can you bring back a bag of dark beans for dan? He comes back around the 1st of July. (touching down for 1 night; then he's off to Barcelona and Moscow. Rough life...)

I have not made solid plans on when I will be in Chicago--my best guess would be early in the week of the 19th, but I still am waiting on confirmation on another trip that might swing this schedule. If I can end up in Chicago at the same time, that would be fun.

You bet--I'd be glad to.

That would indeed. We (my friend [livejournal.com profile] emaki) and I are taking the weekend (24-25) to do touristy things, with a vague emphasis on architecture in a low-key way...

But, certainly, visiting together would be fun on the "wow, that's an amazing coincidence that it turned out" sort of way. ;)

It would certainly also be fun on the "wow, that's an amazing coincidence that it turned out" sort of way. ;)
