I think we may still have had the air mattress on the floor, because roverthedog was so small. But no, it's changed a lot. The fireplace is my favourite change. The folding chairs are tbiedl's.
You're right, it didn't.. and we're pretty happy with the results. For example, we don't shudder at having a party in that room now. :)
The fun bit was installing the floor, which I did during some down-contract time. The least fun bit was pulling out the old fireplace, which weighed approximately 1.75 metric tonnes when all was said and done.
And of course you have an open invite to come t and see the results (and Rover, who is just slightly larger than when you met her)...
Ha ha. It turns out he knows Dan's choir director Richard, who had a choir in *mumble* as well. (I'm not certain how obfuscatory I should be here, so I'll err on the side of mumbling). Anyway, Richard came to see Dan become a citizen; and as a good chorister Dan belted out Oh Canada, so Bob got to complement Richard on his choir.
As it turns out there were three other of Richard's chorus members in the room, because Dan's student B. was becoming a citizen as well and her husband is also in the choir.

walls, and furniture the last time we saw it!

Yay, small town.
