Today's mail included: my paycheque (*) for the first half of November (which is a surprise, since I thought they only cut cheques monthly), a cancellation of my health insurance as an employee... and a guargantuo pile of paperwork, which seems to indicate the University wasn't lying about the job offer.

(*) I am underpracticed at spelling that word properly for this country. I've been getting electronic deposit, or credit-card payment, or some other form of electronic payment, for most of the last five years, not these silly pieces of paper. Heh.

Did you have to cheque the spelling in the dictionary?

Do hockey players hipcheque each other?

Weirdness. So what, as a full-time employee you can't get direct deposit?

Nope; that's not it I'm sure.

I surmise that as a contract employee whose contract was ending before the end of the month, I couldn't get diredct deposit at the end of the month? *shrug*

Dear Daniel: Big congratulations on the new job (sorry I haven't been keeping track!). That's two bits of good news for both you and Daniel. Hugs, Lee-Ellen
