I'm trying to picture how a sock could help repair a wallet, and it doesn't work for me. ...isn't the fabric too thin to be durable in the pocket? Or are these leather socks? :)
It was a hemp change purse with a thin fabric liner inside. The liner disintegrated over time, but right at the time I decided I had to do something about it, I had a sock develop a hole behind the ankle. So I washed the sock and then cut the toe off and replaced the liner with the same amount of material from the toe end of the sock. It worked out really well.
