Are you brothers?
Saturday, 23 April 2005 03:24 pmWe went to our fish-market earlier today to find something tasty for dinner. Darned if the woman who co-owns the place didn't ask us if we were brothers. So we joked about that a bit. At least we're getting used to the question.
As we were about to leave, we were talking about how it was a bit cold. I suggested she nab her husband's sweater. She said, "Oh, he's my brother."
Blah rainy day today.
Last night was a bust. I was exhausted after work, but still thought I was up to eating out with d., and ultimately it seems he spent most of dinner staring at the top of my head as I stared at my food. Bleh.
Afterward, d. read, and I watched The Iron Giant, which I've been meaning to see for a while. I liked it, though I don't suppose it was as good as E.T., the movie I thought it most resembled. The Giant had better alien powers though- especially the autonomous body-parts.
I will try to not spend the rest of the weekend thinking about work. I've got a deadline coming up with the beginning of the new term, but I think the next week should be enough time to complete everything.
