Well, I was thinking a good use for the back 40...
until I realized the back 40 is more like a back .3
So it makes the most sense to ship it (or I should say "deliver" it) somewhere it can roam.
And pull carts and give milk and plow fields and maybe procreate and eventually maybe get turned into a nice Indian or Thai slow-cooked stew. Something like that.
The middlemen seem a bit cagey on the details. (Do they ship me mozzeralla? Do I get regular updates on my water buffalo's progress? Or at least a fake generic letter, "Dear Adoptive Parent, I am fine. Thank you for adopting me. Asia is nice.")

Date: Thursday, 10 May 2007 03:02 pm (UTC)is this a timeshare buffalo?
do you only get part of it?
or does it come dissasembled, and you get to eat it?
or is it some sort of virtual water buffalo, like buying a fistful of trees that are planted on your behalf in some desolate landscape like detroit?

So, not virtual, so much as colocated.
