Last night we had mtffm & the_infamous_j for dinner.

...No, over for dinner, you silly person.

But the food. I'm pretty damn lucky, all I can say. melted_snowball made mac and cheese, and the_infamous_j brought a pie with mixed berries and while it baked, we played Killer Bunnies. And the pie was kickass tasty. And then mtffm won with the only bunny on the board, which hadn't ever happened to us before.

And I still have a sore throat, but I'm coping. And sleeping a lot.

Because of my background, every time I see mtffm, I think it must be some sort of strange transsexual combination. I don't know anything about the person behind the LJ.

He's actually in the process of figuring out a new name. His current one abbreviates something nothing to do with gender.

To be honest, at first I kept spelling it as "mtftm" for that very reason. :)

Winning Killer Bunnies that way is not as hard as you might think. Were you playing with all the expansions?

I know it's supposed to happen, but in the half-dozen games I've played or watched, it hadn't happened before (nor to the other three players!)

"All the expansions" - hee hee. Urm, no. Just through red.

My mind goes a bit numb when I think of playing with all of the expansions (I guess onyx isn't released yet, according to their website?) How many expansions have you played?

Correct, Onyx has not been released yet. I've played, and also own, up through Wacky Khaki. I started playing at the Orange level, and we've been adding since. Due to card volume, our game play is:

Everybody shuffles,exchanging bits for good mix
1. Play the game

Since you spend the game removing the super bunnies, the weapons and the money from the deck, we added the 2nd shuffle to it to get them well mixed in again.

The volume of cards, plus other accoutrement, sounds scary. But possibly in a good way. (If I recall, one of the sets comes with a ball with a stripe on it, for some reason or another?)

I just read that KinderBunnies can be used as an expansion set. Which amuses me too.
