We were both relaxing in our room; me, at a desk at my laptop, and melted_snowball on the bed at his laptop. After a brief conversation, I said to him, "So, how's your internet?" He looked at me strangely.
And he kept looking at me strangely. What?

Is not internet like dinner?

Too often I eat too much internet, rooting around in irritation, looking for one more tasty morsel, when it is quite clear that my plate is empty and I should just unplug and go have a life.

This is one of the reasons I keep my RSS reader sparely configured with (engadget,metafilter,redflagdeals). If there was always something new in it, I'd never get off the screen.
