While d. and I were travelling, my article on Unravelling Code with the Perl Debugger went live at perl.com. And I got my first typo report on the same day.

[livejournal.com profile] emaki and I are going to write an article about photo mosaics, for The Perl Review. I hope to spend part of the long weekend programming on it.

Right now I'm being lazy and not getting dressed. I haven't decided if I'll go in to work for a bit; maybe I can see if New Office Choice #1 is an option. If the concrete smell is too strong for me, that'll eliminate the choice, at least.

London Photos

So I went to transfer my London photos to flickr. They took the first 18, which are here and I'm happy with how they turned out.

Then I hit flickr's 20mb transfer limit. Did you know flickr had a 20mb monthly transfer limit? I didn't. Grumble.

I haven't decided if I want to spring for a flickr subscription; in the meantime, I've put the rest of the photos on my own server.

My favourite of the flickr batch is probably Big Ben from the London Eye; and my favourite from the second batch is probably the dressy guy on the escalator at Harrods.

But really I like them all.

The Bletchley Park photos are in the second batch for those who have specifically asked for those! (I tried to not go overboard, there are others, let me know if I should upload them too).

For those who care: photos taken on my clunky but trusty Casio QV-3000, processing via f-spot. f-spot handles file-uploads and building online albums quite well. And if I ask nicely, I bet the developers will be able to add a "resize before uploading to flickr" feature, too.

...Dang. I just noticed there already is a "resize before uploading to flickr" feature. Well, now I know why. :/
