I owe about 5 lj comment responses and a few journal updates... later; if I start now I'll keep writing till I finish, and that'll be well past my bedtime.

Instead, something that just tickled my funny bone.

I did a search in google maps earlier, and it did one of those "go south 0.0 km, make a U-turn, go north .3 km..." and I was tsk, tsking at them, up until just now, when I noticed that you can pull up a satellite photo of the start-location.

Here's what I saw:

That is impressive. I also like the little one-way arrows they just added. More importantly for me, however, is that someone has recently greatly improved its ability to parse French street names. All in all, I'm just chuffed.
