Brief Update

daAnd indeed, the hills of West Virginia are exquisitely beautiful. When we drive back home, we'll be stopping more frequently. We did most of the driving on Friday, arriving in Blacksburg Virginia early on Saturday.
Right now, I'm tired, but pretty happy. I'm feeling out what I really want to be doing this week at our Quaker Gathering; so far I've decided not to take a formal workshop in the mornings, and I might just spend a bunch of time in worship. It's wonderful getting to catch up with friends I haven't seen in six months- including two pairs of close friends who each have a new infant. I enjoy being a kind gay unc. (dan can be the evil gay unc., or another kind gay uncle, if he's so inclined..)
Our community is holding a witness concerning same-sex marriage, in the town of Blacksburg, which has gotten a small bit of pre-press in the Roanoke VA papers. I'm not entirely sure what to expect. That will be on Tuesday.
Right now, I'm off to our first business session, of (perhaps) four this week; then to Meeting for Worship, then dinner and hopefully quiet conversation..
