So I heard we had rain warnings this weekend for 5-10cm/2-3.9" total. The first storm is due today; the second, tomorrow, the remnants of hurricane Ike.
That seems like a lot of weather activity, but Google Maps makes it seem more immediate with their Fall Hurricanes map.
Um, hello.

So, if we're washed away, it's been great knowing you.
(I kid, of course; we don't even have a Warning for our county. Um, yet. Which is good, because
melted_snowball is supposed to be on a plane in seven hours.)
(Duck 'n cover, everyone on my f'list in the midwest!)
In 30 minutes I'm supposed to go stand on a bridge in Victoria Park and get photographed. I wonder if the rain will hit before, or after?

Date: Saturday, 13 September 2008 10:43 pm (UTC)This oversight has been corrected. EnviroCanada is now predicting 50-100 mm for today and *another* 50-100 mm for tomorrow, with a lull in between. I think I'd better go out and pick tomatoes tomorrow before they split from excessive moisture.
It's odd that the word "flooding" did not appear in a warning that predicts 8 inches of water over two days.
