The weekend theme feels like "almost, but not quite." I'd like to see the positives, but right now, the negatives are bugging me.

Saturday I walked Rover uptown to run errands. We discovered the uptown Home Hardware likes dogs. They really like dogs. Treat jar and all that. And I got more coffee at 10,000 Villages, but I bought ground instead of bean. So I have to go back.

Sunday afternoon I went to Canadian Tire to replace the windshield-wiper I just bought a month ago (doesn't wipe the middle of the driver's side). Which was at least successful, but I wish it had worked the first time.

Then to Staples to replace my (creaky, small) filing-cabinet with a sturdier one. This took two trips: I got the first one home, muscled it into the house, unwrapped it, and found it looked like had been dropped from a fairly significant height. It slanted about 10 degrees. So I took most of the cardboard, muscled it back into the car, drove back, and got a replacement. The guy who helped seemed a bit nonplussed that I wanted to open the second one in the store. And my inspection wasn't thorough enough, because I got that one home, took off the rest of the cardboard, and a top corner is crushed. Unlike the last one, it's cosmetic not structural (though wow does that corner look ugly). I think two hours is enough of my time spent driving back and forth to staples, but I will call the store and give them the benefit of my displeasure.

No, you really aren't. It's kind of cute. :-)

Well, that's fine except for the other half of not being good at being-grumpy-for-long.

Which is fortunately seldom.

It's true. It's sort of like you're not good at being sick.
