Don't ask yourself what the world needs.
Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

I like that.

Puts me in mind of Joseph Campbell's dictum "Follow your bliss."

In fact, I found it when I was reminding myself that "follow your bliss" was exactly the phrase I wanted to use in a comment.

Excellent.

I have been having conversations about what makes us come alive.

That is a great quotation!

I didn't click on the link before, but I thought I would find out who Thurman was. (I'd never heard of him before.)

The Wikipedia entry also has this quotation:
"When the song of the angels is stilled, When the star in the sky is gone, When the kings and princes are home, When the shepherds are back with their flock, The work of Christmas begins: To find the lost, To heal the broken, To feed the hungry, To release the prisoner, To rebuild the nations, To bring peace among others, To make music in the heart."

That is pretty powerful, too!

Yes, I liked that quote too. I'm looking forward to eventually looking up his books, he sounds like an excellent guy to learn from.

I like being in a situation where I get to interact with you frequently. This entry is just one of those examples.
