Apropos of nothing, but a shared affection of Almodovar, I just read a piece about his latest film The Skin I Live In. Here's a website that's posted a trailer: http://www.awardsdaily.com/2011/08/us-trailer-for-almodovars-the-skin-i-live-in/

Plotwise, it's about a plastic surgeon keeping someone prisoner, but Almodovar promises to make that grotesque scenario so much more.

I think my favorite is currently Flower of my Secret, but perhaps that's not surprising. All About My Mother is a better film. Women on the Verge funnier, and Volver raw and beautiful. I've yet to see one I don't like, and that's saying something. (I also haven't seen them all.)

Thanks for that link; I hadn't gotten to see the preview yet.

We saw All About My Mother last night. Indeed, I've never seen an Amodovar I don't like, though I will reserve judgment about the latest one, which looks possibly not-my-thing? Maybe.
