Re: transit

da: A smiling human with short hair, head tilted a bit to the right. It's black and white with a neutral background. You can't tell if the white in the hair is due to lighting, or maybe it's white hair! (maze)

I just called the regional transit authority to complain that they haven't replaced the bus-shelters at University and Seagram, which bodes for a very cold winter waiting to go home. They said they're replacing them next week, in fact with two shelters. I barely choked out a "thanks" I was so flabbergasted.

Heh. They're obviously getting ready to put up the iXpress shelters at GRH, too. Yanked the old one, and have some fencing stuff in place.

Woulda been nice this morning.

No kidding. I think I may start catching the bus in the morning at the stop just down the road, rather than at Glasgow...there's a shelter there. Means jaywalking though, which isn't always easy.

Yay for shelters coming to Uni and Seagram. Can't believe it's taken them so long to get 'em up though. Let's wait until AFTER winter blasts everyone to bits!

Maybe it's a strategy: make us go without for a little while, so that we're more thankful when the shelters finally DO show up.

Yeah. And sadly in my case, it worked.

Weirdness. I look at your icon and see a swastika in the negative space, and now I can't see anything else...

And now you know why I avoid cyclic patterns in my doodles. :P

I feel so enlightened.

Yowzers. Ya know, I convinced myself that the negative-space pattern DIDN'T look like a swastica, because I liked the positive-space pattern too much.

Brains are just too good at finding patterns. I can make a set of 25 of these quilt-patches and darned if 1/4 of them are swasticas in some form.

fixed.

You'll be happy to know that I've retired the old swastica-y icon, and finally made another icon pic, which I thought was equally deserving of the keyword 'maze', but with no swastica associations whatsoever. :)

Having nearly frozen to death in raging snow at that exact place yesterday, all I can say is *Thank*You*! (And thanks for calling, we should all call a lot more when there is something ridiculous like this going on...)
