Envy / thankfulness

My dearly beloved is at a conference-- here. 'Tis a rather large ski resort. It's arranged so the conference is morning/evening so people can ski all afternoon. *pout* *sulk*

However, this evening I had a lovely dinner with friends Lesley and David & their two kids. I'm glad to know them. They are charming folks, and they had funny stories about my colleagues from when they were all students at the U. together. Hm, it is a small town after all.

On the other hand, I'm feeling really lonely here, and I now feel like there are two levels of indirection to where my home is. So you may have it better.
