Home Again
Sunday, 12 February 2006 03:43 pmI am ever so grateful that I don't need to go any further east today, or that the noreaster didn't need to go any further west. Sounds like a total plastering. I hope everyone who got the storm is safe and snug.
I'm safe and snug in my jammies, wondering where my brain is-- probably still up at 30,000 feet, since last night's sleep was broken up into tiny chunks except for the two hours I just got here at home. The flight back was OK I guess, but the air on the plane from California was so dry, practically everyone on the plane was sniffling with a runny nose by the time we landed. I really should've had the presence of mind to ask the stewards if they could do anything about the air. I expect they couldn't have, since they had to notice it themselves. Instead, I just nearly emptied my water bottle through the 4-hour flight. Bleh.
I brought back a ten-pound bag of local Davis oranges, though. Wow, but they are juicy and sweet.
lovecraftienne and
persephoneplace, there are half-a-dozen with your names on them, just as soon as you get back into town. A big lj-smooch for watching Rover! ...who seems happy to be home again- she's zonked out on my office floor.
*yawn* I'll try and stay up, since I want to have a regular night's sleep tonight. Though, it's presently pretty tough. If anybody sees my brain, please tell it to rejoin me at its earliest convenience.
