I'm getting a cold. Perfect timing, too; dan's arriving this evening [1] and we're going away to Michigan [2] for a Quaker Gathering on Friday. Hm, the last time we went to the same Gathering at the same location in February, about 4 years ago, I got sick then, too.
This morning, I cut my finger... on a pair of pants. The button shattered violently just as I was buttoning it. I'm surprised at how much force was behind it. You might suggest this means I should lose weight, or get larger pants, but my claim is that it's a conspiracy. Of whom, I'm not certain. But I'll let you know. It's not a small cut; I needed to change the bandaid before I went to work.
There was a fascinating piece on Sounds Like Canada this morning: an interview with Rena Sharon, a classical pianist and music professor whose world view was changed by a chance meeting with retired general Romeo Dallaire. I'm hoping the clip is available on cbc.ca tomorrow; if so, I'll link to it.
[1] I'm well enough to drive to Pearson, since it's only at the throat-tickle/headache stage so far. I will drink lots of fluids through the evening, though that makes for an annoying drive. *grumph*

But, strangely apropos. Yeah, wow. ...I would've been more amused at the time it happened, if it hadn't hurt so much.
