Last night d. made nutmeg ice cream.

I suggested, after his post this evening about profiteroles, that the two would probably go well together.



No sooner did I leave to take a movie back to the video store, he has whipped up a batch. And yes, they went together quite nicely, with cocoa, chocolate sauce, and a bit of nutmeg on top.

Basically everything but pots and pans made by Calphalon go in the dishwasher. Those have a ten-year warranty which goes poof if they are dishwashed. Since they're really great pots, I'm willing to risk dishpan hands to keep the principal cook happy. :)
